Tabula Digita’s is releasing the Math Evolver: Virus Origin video games available for consumer purchase in major retail and online outlets. For the past two years, Tabula’s Evolver games have been available in school districts nationwide.
The math program has an ESRB Rating E10+ (Everyone 10+) for mild fantasy violence and is aimed at children in grades six through nine. The games include first person action adventure while incorporating key algebraic concepts. The contemporary simulation format features high-end 3-D graphics, sound, animation and storylines comparable to those found in most popular video games.
Math Evolver has five missions that embed lessons aligned with the standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and that adhere to learning research in the areas of math and gaming.
“The Evolver games are a win-win for parents and kids. Kids get a new game that is fun and exciting to play, and parents get the satisfaction of knowing their kids are learning standards-based pre-algebra and algebra, and actually enjoying it,” said Ntiedo Etuk, chief executive officer of Tabula Digita. “When school is back in session, teachers will definitely notice increases in student performance as well as confidence and attitude toward math.”
The game is Mac and PC compatible.
