Video game players will have to wait an extra two months for the return of Max Payne.
Rockstar Games announced it will release the highly anticipated action title Max Payne 3 on May 15 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, followed by a PC debut on May 29.
Last September, Rockstar had revealed the game would arrive in March.
Max Payne 3 follows a former New York City detective of the same name as he begins private security work for a rich family in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Along with the primary campaign, Max Payne 3 will introduce a multiplayer component to the series, tying a broader story with mechanics such as the slow-motion effect Bullet Time.
