Michael Dell, per the Wall Street Journal, has confirmed (WSJ account required) the company’s 7-inch Looking Glass tablet today at Oracle’s conference. The only detail he gave was that it would run an Android like the Streak. Dell didn’t mention ship dates or other details.
The rumor mill has the Looking Glass using a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 250 processor capable of driving 1080p video. TV ties will be large feature set of the Looking Glass since it might have an ATSC tuner for over the air HD plus support for streaming U-verse contain to AT&T customers.
An early roadmap shot had the tablet arriving by the end of the year, though delays in the Streak may have pushed that back further. A 10-inch model was also part of that roadmap and would show in early 2011.
