Xbox One Backward Compatibility has been expanded with new games again by Microsoft, making it a total of 221 titles now playable, although the likelihood of Modern Warfare and Skyrm’s arrival remains ever distant.

Last week saw a huge range of new Xbox One Backward Compatibility games arrive for fans to download, including Sonic 4: Episodes 1&2, Fret Nice, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Crystal Defenders, NEOGEO BATTLE COLISEUM, Capcom Arcade Cabinet and Pac-Man Museum.

That’s on top of the other three titles that landed earlier, adding the releases of Tour de France 2009, Half Minute Hero and FLOCK! to the program.

A total of 11 Xbox 360 classics were announced last week, one of the biggest expansions seen since the launch of the BC library in 2015.

There are also four games still being processed and another 160 that have been officially closed.

Skate 3, Bioshock 1 & 2 and Bioshock Infinite were all titles first announced as a big part of the Xbox 360 library last year, but it is unclear how long it will be until these titles are formally launched.

Eight of the new games arriving earlier this week were leaked before the formal unveiling by Xbox’s Larry Hryb on Twitter, however, there are no reports on what might follow them.

Hryb did make tongue-in-cheek remark on a recent Reddit discussion, commenting that Skate 3 could be the next big title to arrive following the release of Red Dead Redemption.

After another user’s wrote that they hoped Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 might be the next Xbox One Backward Compatible title added, Hryb replied: “Or Skate 3.”

While the skating game developed by EA Black Box isn’t the most voted for title left on Xbox’s community request list, it would still prove a very popular addition.

Over 35,000 votes have been cast in support of its Xbox One debut and remains of a small list of games that have already been confirmed for the program.

While Black Ops 2 still has a chance of being added as a follow to Black Ops’ release, other big titles remaining on the list seem less likely to happen.

Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is getting its own Special Edition released on the next-gen console, which will include all DLC and new mod support features.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is also getting a ground-up remake from Activision and although it has over 100,000 backers, it may also be another title that will fail to see a BC launch.
