Microsoft today kicked off its TV campaign for Windows Phone 7. The two American spots are much like those leaked earlier and accuse Apple and RIM promte the idea that their phones force owners to live thier lives to use their phones. It’s “time for a phone to save us from our phones,” is a tag lag in each of the two spots.
Both ads focus on the value of the WP7 home screen. Showing the the value of the tiles providing much of the information people need to see: it provides a visual badge of unchecked calls and messages, appointments, status updates and other features that normally need delving into an app.
Both ads have replaced the HTC Mondrian (now called the Surround) with the Samsung Focus, since it’s the only WP7 phone ready for the November 8 launch date.
