Today Microsoft is hoping to put to end the need to search for hard to read diagrams to determine how to insert the batteries.
Battery contacts designed based on InstaLoad technology enable users to insert batteries into a device in either + or – direction and the device simply works. An InstaLoad terminal contains both a positive and negative terminal, and works with CR123, AA, AAA, C or D batteries, either the disposable versions or rechargeables.
The InstaLoad technology will be licensed on a royalty-free basis, Microsoft said. Duracell was named as a partner for the technology
