Motorola has announced that many Motorola Bluetooth headsets and car accessories will provide drivers a new hands-free experience while on the go. They have paired with Jott, a voice-to-text service, to offer a free, two-month trial with purchase so users can turn their words into action and stay fully connected while in transit.
“Motorola continues to bring innovation to consumers by expanding our portfolio to include the latest technology to wholly center on the needs of drivers,” said Sean Ramsey, general manager of Companion Products, Motorola. “The combination of Motorola’s Bluetooth products and Jott’s service will allow consumers to keep their hands on the wheel and their focus on the road.”
Jott allows users to send text messages and e-mails, set reminders and calendar appointments, take notes and even check RSS feeds and shop, all by voice. All users have to do is call Jott toll free, select their contacts with voice commands, say their messages, and Jott will convert them to text messages and send them out. Jott uses a combination of speech-recognition engines and people-based quality assurance to ensure quality of transcription.
Jott services will be added to many Motorola Bluetooth headsets and car accessories in Q4. The two-month Jott trial requires activation of a Jott Pro account on www.jott.com. After the free two-month trial, customers can choose to continue with Jott Pro for a monthly service charge of $12.95, or choose Jott Basic (free/ad supported) or Jott ($3.95/month) plans.
Motorola’s Bluetooth headsets and car accessories that provide Jott’s service include MOTOPUREâ„¢ H15, H620, H780, H690, H560, H270, H710, H375, H390, MOTOROKRâ„¢ T505 and Bluetooth Hands-Free Speaker T305. All users have to do is register on a PC and enter their promotional code and they are set to go.
