MSI upgraded its mid-range performance notebooks this weekend. The 15-inch FX603 trades up to a GeForce GT 425M that should give it DirectX 11 graphics and a speed up. Owners can option up to as much as a 2.53GHz Core i5 and have an option up to 640GB of disk space.
The system starts out with a minimum of a 2.13GHz Core i3, a DVD burner and a 320GB hard drive. Every system gets a pair of USB 3.0 ports alongside one USB 2.0 link and a webcam. MSI’s design comes into play with an anti-scratch shell and options to overclock the GT 425M or force the main processor to run at full speed.
The exact configurations and prices were not disclosed. Most MSI notebooks reach the US and get pricing closer to their actual release.
