Weather monitoring device purveyor Netatmo has unveiled its Urban Weather Station, a new device designed for the iOS that monitors indoor and outdoor environmental elements. Temperature, humidity, air pressure, sound levels, and carbon dioxide concentration are monitored by the pair of probes and transmitted over Wi-Fi to the app.
In addition to receiving real-time notifications on air quality and weather conditions, purchasers have access to a free lifetime online account that stores all the accumulated data from the probes. With this device Netatmo aims to create the largest weather and air quality monitoring network ever built.
The Urban Weather Station includes a seven-day forecast and a indicator for reading carbon dioxide levels. The probe also monitors the average sound level to monitor for noise pollution, as well as atmospheric pressure and temperature.
Netatmo’s Urban Weather Station probes are available for $179 online. The Netatmo app is available for free in the App Store.
