Back in January, Netflix announced it was ending the cheapest tier of ad free for existing subscribers in the second quarter of 2024, starting with Canada and the UK.
Members on the existing $10/month basic plan are being directed to choose from the $7/month ad-based tier, the $15.50 ad-free option, or the $23 ad-free 4K plan. For more info, please see the Netflix site.
Like other streaming services, Netflix wants subscribers to be on ad supported plans. Over the top television is more and more becoming cable without wires.
