Nintendo 3DS brings with it a horde of capable developers and new software. Presumably, the older 3DS wasn’t beefy enough to handle the engine. The New Nintendo 3DS, though, arrives with better processing power and the ability to make all this work. And with that the official announcement was mad at the Unite 2015 event in Tokyo, that Unity is coming to the new 3DS.
Just to give you an idea of what Unity can do, here are a few of the games running on the engine: Cities: Skylines, Grow Home, Ori and the Blind Forest, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, Broforce and a whole lot more. That doesn’t guarantee what if any of those titles will be on the way for 3DS, but having support for the platform does give hope to players looking for more variety in their game play.
