Kia is giving a sporty look to its Rio subcompact, which will be redesigned for the 2018 model year. The fourth-generation Rio — debuting Sept. 29 at the Paris auto show — gets a longer front overhang and hood, a longer wheelbase, an upright C-pillar, smooth surfacing and straight lines overall.
The Rio’s exterior and interior design was led by Kia’s design centers in Irvine, Calif., and Frankfurt working closely with the company’s main design center in Namyang, Korea. Kia says the Rio will offer “class-leading practicality and safety technology, the latest connectivity features” and better ride and handling.
