Nintendo Japan has just announced it will bring out a Bluetooth keyboard for its portable DS gaming system. It will be bundled with the Battle & Get! Pokemon Typing DS game and the necessary Bluetooth adapter for the console itself, since it lacks Bluetooth support.
The keyboard will also be compatible with smartphones that support wireless keyboards, including iOS and Android.
The device is likely to be compatible with Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS and Wii home console as well. The game aims to teach players how to type quickly and efficiently. Adults who already have basic skills can also be challenged by the game.
The combo ships in Japan in April, while pricing or US release date have not been disclosed.
