Nintendo has unveiled the ‘Sega 3D Classics’ range for its 3DS handheld. Announced during a mini Nintendo Direct presentation, the ‘3D Classics’ range sees a number of 16-bit Sega games remastered for Nintendo’s handheld.
The likes of Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast and Shinobi will soon be available to download from the Nintendo eShop with enhanced 3D visuals.Other games include Ecco the Dolphin, Galaxy Force, Space Harrier, Streets of Rage and Super Hang-On. Dates, prices and worldwide availability are yet to be revealed.
During the same Direct presentation, Nintendo’s Satoru Shibata announced that SNES classic Earthbound is available to download on the Wii U Virtual Console.The game is out now, priced at $9.99 in North America and £6.99 in the UK.
Shibata also revealed plans to offer Pikmin 3 users 30% off The Wonderful 101, and unveiled a collection of Pikmin keyrings for Club Nintendo members.
