In their recent Nintendo Direct broadcast, the company announced plans to release a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 season pass. The expansion pass adds a new challenge battle mode, new items and a brand new side-story.
“Fans who want to expand their epic adventure can purchase an Expansion Pass for the game,” Nintendo announced.
“With this pass, players can enjoy DLC as it releases between launch and autumn 2018, starting with quests and support items, and eventually including a challenge Battle Mode where they can face powerful enemies, and even an additional adventure with a new side-story set in the world of Elysium.”
Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which has a December 1 release date, is the direct sequel to the 2011 Nintendo Wii role-playing game. It will launch alongside a brand new Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and a Collector’s Edition.
I’d be hyped for this if it weren’t for the fact that XC2 was kinda… well… boring. The original XC was so incredible too, so it’s such a bummer that I have to say that.
