Nokia has started shipping the E6 and X7 smartphones. The phones are the first to use the latest version of Nokia’s OS, Symbian ‘Anna.’ Both are now shipping to Europe, Eurasia, and Asia/Pacific countries. The E6 is also shipping to the Middle East and Africa, while the X7 will be available in China and India. Nokia is the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, due largely to its dominance in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Retail price for the Nokia X7 is €380 ($547) before taxes and operator subsidies. The company has not stated if the X7 would be available for the North American market.
The E6 retails for €340 ($489). The company expects to begin shipping the E6 to North American markets in the third quarter of 2011.
