Nyoki Nyoki: Tabidachi Hen, the new puzzle game from Puyo Puyo creator Masamitsu Niitani and his company Compile Maru, will launch for 3DS via the Nintendo eShop in Japan on November 24 for 800 yen, the company announced.
The falling object puzzle battle game is similar to Tetris and Puyo Puyo in that it’s fun to play both with someone or against the CPU. In it, you can connect colors horizontally, build them up tall, and make a huge stack. Unlike previous falling object puzzle games, you can fire nuisance pieces at your own timing. Gameplay modes include “Story Nyoki Nyoki,” “Battle Nyoki Nyoki,” and “Just Nyoki Nyoki.”
In competitive play, both beginner and advanced players can battle each other on equal terms. Even if they choose a different number of colors to use, or are of different levels, they can still fight equally. After playing several times against the computer, the player’s level—between LV1 and LV30—will be registered. When battling the CPU, the player can fight on equal terms against each level, and both the player and CPU can freely select two to five colors.
