Captain Marvel executive producer Victoria Alonso, out doing promo rounds for the film’s home video release, has confirmed that Marvel is planning 4K disc releases of all the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
Speaking with Collider, Alonso says:
“We are going to remaster all of our films in 4K. We’re in the process of doing that, so it’s all happening.”
While the MCU films from 2017 onwards are currently out on 4K, many from before 2017 are lacking a 4K UHD release including Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and the Iron Man trilogy.
Sadly there’s no time table yet for the releases.
