Philips revealed a new product on Monday with the Hue LED lightbulb system. It will be sold exclusively at Apple stores starting on October 30, with a kit that includes three bulbs and a Wi-Fi bridge that connects to a router or as individual bulbs. Users can then control the color of the LED bulb through an app for their iOS-powered devices.

The app uses program timers that let users set up custom schedules for saving energy, warding off would-be thieves, waking up, or putting children to sleep, as well as customizing the look of their homes. The app can get even more features thanks to future updates.

Photos can also act as a palette for users to choose a color that will then be reproduced by the Hue bulb. Four so-called LightRecipes settings are also included that use the ultimate combination of light to help users relax, read, concentrate or energize.

The kit will cost $199, while individual bulbs will cost $59.
