Microsoft announced today that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the hit survival shooter first available through Steam, has been played by more than four million players on Xbox One. To celebrate, they’re giving away 30,000 Battle Points to each one.
The plan should have the side effect of accelerating sales just a little bit. Those who purchase the game between now and Jan. 31 will get the free gift as well.
“Anyone who has purchased or purchases PUBG on Xbox One and has created a character before Jan. 31 at 12 a.m. PST will receive this bonus,” Microsoft said today in an official blog post. “If you’ve been waiting to jump onto the island, now is the perfect time to become a part of our growing community on console.”
The in-game currency will appear in player’s accounts after Feb. 1 at 12 a.m. PT.
