Ralph Breaks the Internet is reportedly headed for a five-day Thanksgiving holiday haul of $70 million – that would far exceed the $56.7 million which the first film did when it opened in 2012.
Fandango say the the film is outpacing the advance ticket sales of Coco ($72.9M) and Moana ($82M) which launched in the Thanksgiving weekend slots in 2017 and 2016 respectively. One film it doe snot even have a chance of beating is Frozen. Elsa and crew took in $93.5 million over the five-day in 2013.
Also opening this weekend is Creed II which is on target for a $55 million haul over the holiday weekend. The film took $3.7 million in Tuesday night previews, up on the first film by 64%. The new Robin Hood is expected to only on bring in a box office total in the mid-teens.
