Billy Baldwin, John Hawkes and Jena Malone are set to join Miles Teller in the cast of Too Old to Die Young, the upcoming first original TV series of Drive and Only God Forgives filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn.
Refn and comic writing legend Ed Brubaker are teaming to pen the crime thriller following several characters on “existential journeys from being killers to becoming samurai in the city of angels.”
Teller plays Martin, a cop mourning the murder of his partner. Martin and his partner’s killer soon find themselves mixed-up in a wild drama involving Yakuza soldiers, cartel assassins, the Russian mob, and gangs of teenage murderers.
Refn revealed the cast list for the Amazon original series on Twitter with Cristina Rodlo, Augusto Aguilera, Nell Tiger Free, Babs Olusanmokun and Callie Hernandez also onboard. Refn will direct every episode of the series.
