Ruku devices may soon get Hulu Plus access, StreamingMedia executive VP Dan Rayburn claimed on Monday. Timeing and details are unknown, but was characterized as “soon.” Most likely a $10 Hulu Plus subscription wil be necessary to view Hulu Plus on Roku units. In the past Hulu has tried to block Boxee.
Hulu has promised to bring its Plus service to many more devices and already supports iPhones, iPads and Sony’s PS3 and Samsung TVS. Xbox 360 and Vizio TVs and other smartphones should be support late this year or early next year.
The Roku already support Amazon VOD, MLB.tv, Netflix and a ton of smaller and independent video sources.
