Variety is reporting that The CW superhero series “Arrow” has cast veteran character actor Ryan Robbins (Apollo 18, “Falling Skies,” “The Killing”) as a major antagonist for the upcoming Season 4.
Robbins will play a sadistic character named Conklin, who serves as a member of the criminal organization Shadowspire in flashback sequences, making his first appearance in episode 3 of the new season. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will face off against Conklin as well as the group’s leader Baron Reiter/Baron Blitzkrieg (Jimmy Akingbola) in the flashbacks.
Starring Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Willa Holland, Paul Blackthorne, and John Barrowman, “Arrow” airs Wednesdays at 8 P.M. ET/PT on The CW with the new season set to premiere on October 8.
Robbins will appear in two high-profile blockbusters for Legendary Pictures next year, namely Duncan Jones’ highly-anticipated feature adaptation of the video game franchise Warcraft, which opens on June 10, 2016, as well as the Special Ops ghost hunting action pic Spectral, which opens on August 12, 2016.
