Samsung has added two new point-and-shoot cameras to its range, the MV800 and the WB750. The center-piece of the MV800 is its large 3-inch capacitive touch screen flexible viewer. It allows the user to take pictures from a wide range of angles, and even allow users the ability to take self-portraits and even adjust the picture settings before taking the photo.
The MV800 incorporates a 16.1 megapixel CCD sensor coupled with a 5x optical zoom and a 26mm wide-angle lens. It also shoots video in M-PEG 4/H.264. Other features include fun photo effects including oil-paint, Fish-eye, cartoon and sketch among others. Similar effects can be applied when shooting video. It will be retailing for $279.
The center-piece of the new WB750 is the camera’s zoom, which is currently the largest in Samsung’s compact point-and-shoot range at 18x optical 24x digital zoom. It utilizes a 12.5-megapixel CMOS sensor that incorporates Samsung’s Back Side Illumination tech. The WB750 also has the ability to shoot photos at 10 frames per second, as well as record 1080p video. Pricing has yet to be disclosed.
