is gearing up for a broader Android Oreo rollout, which we’ve been teased with often in the last couple of months. The Galaxy S8/S8+ and S7/S7 edge aren’t the only Samsung smartphones to receive the long-awaited update (fortunately), so if you own’ of last years’ Galaxy A series handsets, you’ll most likely get Oreo by the end of the summer.
The Galaxy A3 and A5 (2017) have started to receive Android Oreo updates in various parts of the world, but it may not be until June that the rollout will expand globally.
The newest mid-range Samsung smartphone to receive Android Oreo is the Galaxy A7 (2017). However, since the update is only available in Vietnam, so don’t try to look for it if you don’t live in this country. The update weighs in at 1.3GB and includes the April security patch, but by the time Samsung starts the rollout in other countries, the update might contain an even newer security patch.
