Sanyo announced its LP-XU106 portable LCD projector, which it claims is the highest brightness ultra portable projector in its class, at 4,500 lumens. The LP-XU106 weighs about 7.5lbs and has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio along with a 1.6x zoom lens. A corner keystone correction function lets users place the projector at an offset angle from the screen or wall both vertically and horizontally without distorting the image.
The LP-XU106 otherwise sports an Ethernet jack for connecting to networks, can be mounted upside down, can freeze images and has a built-in presentation timer to help users pace their showings. A color-board mode compensates for colored walls or blackboards to display true colors. Connections involve two VGA inputs as well as single component, RCA and S-video jacks.
The LP-XU106 will launch on November 20th in Japan. US release date and price have not been released.
