It was raved about at Sundance and is one of the year’s best-reviewed films to date but it is not an arthouse title. Rather it’s an ultra-violent, super dark action thriller starring Nicolas Cage.
The first trailer has arrived for Mandy which sees Cage and Andrea Riseborough play a couple whose life takes a turn when a nightmarish cult and their maniacal leader (Linus Roache) seek to possess her body and soul.
A shocking assault on the innocent pair leads to a spiralling, surreal, bloody rampage of all out, mind-altering vengeance. Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) helms the film which will be released in cinemas and on VOD on September 14th.
