The trailer has arrived for Gauguin: Voyage to Tahiti, a new biopic about influential artist Paul Gauguin who was an innovator of modern art until he died in 1903.
Vincent Cassel will take on the role of Gauguin who had grown tired of the civilized world and its political and moral conventions. Leaving his wife and children behind, he ventures alone to Tahiti, consumed with a yearning for new inspiration.
There he meets Tehura, his muse, who will consume his mind and inspire his most iconic works of art. Edouard Deluc helms from a script he co-wrote with Etienne Comar, Thomas Lilti and Sarah Kaminsky.
The film opens in select cinemas on July 11th.
