The new trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 is a shop-holics-dream. It shows different kinds of items that can be purchased in the game’s stores and what the player can do with them.
Shops will sell items both useful and cosmetic; this particular trailer has the player purchasing a new shield for lightning as well as a pair of glasses that can be worn with any of her equipment.
The trailer then dives into the menus, showing different equipment setups and how to customize Lightning’s color palette to the player’s preference. This particular video ends up with an outfit marked with purple highlights, but the end of the trailer shows a number of other color schemes the player could have used.
Lightning Returns is scheduled to hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2014. Watch the shop-a-thon below:
