Silent Night, Deadly Night, Theodore Gershuny’s holiday horror is a gothic proto-slasher from 1974.
The film is in the public domain, so New Wave Independent Pictures is producing a sequel titled Silent Night, Bloody Night 2: Revival. It picks up 40 years after the original.
Dustin Ferguson directs the follow-up. Julia Farrell and Luc Bernier star with a special appearance by Jennifer Runyon (To All a Goodnight). It’s currently in production for a 2015 release via Retrosploitation.
