Facebook today gave parents more control over the Messenger Kids application.
The new sleep mode allows parents to set designated on and off times for the app. The predetermined schedule will make the app inaccessible when parents deem children should be sleeping, doing homework, or participating in other activities without distraction.
Parents can manage sleep mode from the Parent Control center in the parent’s Facebook account. Sleep mode can be changed at any time. Parents already have the ability to add and remove contacts, delete the app/account, or create a new account from the control panel.
Messenger Kids is free to download from the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.
