Sony is adding a new speaker dock, RDP-X50iP, to its expanded line of iPod/iPhone accessories. The dock has 40 Watts of power and a 150 Hz – 10 kHz frequency response. The housing measures approximately 14 x 6 x 6 inches, which includes two 3-inch speakers.
Users can connect and charge any iPhone or iPod with the standard 30-pin dock connector, while other devices can be connected to a 3.5mm auxiliary input. iPod playback and volume can be controlled directly from the dock or an included remote control.
The RDP-X50iP will be available soon. Sony did not disclose the price at this time.
