Sony today announced three additions to its Xperia smartphone line, the T, V, and J. The Xperia T is Sony’s new flagship device with fast-wake, and easy NFC-based pairing for connections to other devices such as speakers or headphones. The Xperia V is LTE-enabled and water resistant. The Xperia J is an entry-level smartphone.
Xperia T: Specs include a 4.6-inch Reality Display with Bravia Engine, 13-megapixel camera, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, Android 4.0.4 (with Jelly Bean upgrade), MHL/HDMI, and PlayStation certification.
Xperia V: Specs include a 4.3-inch Reality Display with Bravia Engine, 13-megapixel camera, Android 4.0.4 (with Jelly Bean upgrade), MHL/HDMI, and PlayStation certification.
Xperia J: Specs include a 4-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, front camera for video chats, and illuminating notifications for social media updates.
Sony said those purchasing one of its three new smartphones will receive its Music Unlimited service for free for 60 days. Timing on their release was not provided. Sony also announced new service-based applications that will span its product range, between smartphones, tablets, PCs, PS3, and televisions. Owners of these devices will be able to access and/or control certain services and functions via these new tools
