Sprint announced a new pocketable 4G router on Thursday called the Overdrive Pro. The 3G and 4G hybrid hotspot now supports as many as eight devices on WiMAX, up from five of the model it replaces. Speed has improved as well; the Sierra Wireless-made hardware now starts up or shuts down about 35 percent faster.
The Overdrive Pro is overall smaller but simultaneously has a 45 percent larger screen that’s also easier to read than the past model
It goes on sale Sunday, March 20, and will cost $50 after both a $50 rebate and signing a two-year data contract
