The developers of Splatoon have done a good job of showcasing features for the game that were debuted in the most recent Nintendo Direct. During that presentation, we learned that there would be a city hub of sorts where Inklings will be able to spend their hard earned experience points toward upgrades in gear and weapons. Just a few days ago we got a good look at the weapon shop and its proprietor and today, the team is giving us a look at the headgear shop and its owner.
Anemo is the new character reveal and as you can see from her hair, she’s stylized to resemble a sea anemone. The weapon shop owner Bukichi was stylized to resemble a horseshoe crab, so it’s nice to see that the developers are continuing the art style with more characters that resemble underwater fauna. So far all the information and screenshots we’ve seen about the game have been released in Japanese, but Splatoon is scheduled for a May release this year.
