UK actor Khan (Kan) Bonfils died Wednesday in London while preparing for an upcoming production of Dante’s Inferno in the East End. He was 42.
Paramedics and members of the Craft Theatre Company in East London were unable to revive Bonfils using CPR after he collapsed in rehearsal, according to the Daily Mail.
Bonfils may be best known for his roles in the James Bond and “Star Wars” franchises. He first appeared in the Bond in the henchman role of Isagura in Tomorrow Never Dies and again appeared in 2012’s Skyfall. In 1999, he played Jedi master Saesee Tiin in “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace.”
He had smaller roles Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and Batman Begins.
A cause of death has not yet been announced.
