The Nintendo eShop’s weekly update has something for both Mario and Street Fighter fans today, with titles in both series coming to the Virtual Console. Wii U and New Nintendo 3DS owners will have their pick of four titles, including an early Nintendo DS classic and a trio of Super NES games.
Super Mario 64 DS leads the eShop additions, arriving on the Wii U storefront or $9.99. The game was a launch title for the Nintendo DS way back in 2004 and adds multiplayer and additional playable characters, like Luigi and Wario. As a Virtual Console title, the Wii U version includes off-screen play for a yet another new way to experience Super Mario 64.
On Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console comes a pack of Street Fighter titles: Street Fighter 2 Alpha, Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting and Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers. Each one is exclusively playable on New Nintendo 3DS consoles, just like all other Super Nintendo Virtual Console releases for handhelds. Street Fighter fans can pick them up for $7.99 each.
