Mac gamers can now play the next game in the Supreme Commander series. Supreme Commander 2 is now available via Virtual Programming’s Deliver2Mac and Steam download services. The game was first available for the PC and XBOX in March, is a top-selling futuristic real-time strategy adventure featuring online multiplayers (up to 8).
Set 25 years after the events of the original game, Supreme Commander 2 begins with the assassination of the newly elected president of the Colonial Defense Coalition. The CDC members – the United Earth Federation, the Order of the Illuminate, and the Cybran Nation – deny involvement, blame each other and a galactic war ensues!
The solo version of the game features 18 missions divided equally among the three factions of the game; the United Earth Federation, The Order of the Illuminate and the Cybran Nation. Among the improvements added to the Steam version of the game is a redesigned user interface intended to improve focus on battlefield tactics, and a Strategic Zoom view for real-time feedback.

Supreme Commander 2 is priced at $40 and requires an Intel Mac of 2.2GHz or better running 10.6.3 or higher, along with a 256MB discreet graphics card (GeForce 8600, Radeon 2400HD or newer). Buyers also get a Steam code to enable the Windows version of the game as well.
