T-Mobile sold more tablets during Friday’s iPad Air launch than it did the entire previous quarter, a spokesperson says.
The carrier has declined to offer specific numbers, but was presumably aided by the market dominance of the iPad and its highly-promoted tablet data plan, which offers 200MB per month for free on fully-paid devices. A number of iPad customers have been disappointed to discover that the 200MB tier isn’t available for new subscribers buying a financed unit.
Moreover, some T-Mobile workers have supplied mistaken information, or unnecessarily charged for data.
