20th Century Fox has premiered a final trailer for The Darkest Minds, the upcoming film adaptation of Alexandra Bracken’s young adult novel.
In the film, teens mysteriously develop powerful new abilities and so are declared a threat by the government and detained. Sixteen-year-old Ruby, one of the most powerful young people anyone has encountered, escapes her camp and joins a group of runaway teens seeking safe haven. They soon wage a resistance, using their collective power to take back control of their future.
Amandla Stenberg, Mandy Moore and Gwendoline Christie co-star in the film which Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda) directed and Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) produced.
The Darkest Minds opens August 3rd.
