Call of Cthulhu is a game inspired by Chaosium’s classic pen and paper adventure. Today, the developer released a new trailer for E3 2018 which gives us a better look at this dark role-playing game. According to Cyanide Studio, players uncover chilling mysteries, descending deep into a world of cosmic horrors, creeping madness, and shrouded “Old Gods” within Lovecraft’s iconic universe.
The plot follows Private Investigator Edward Pierce as he is sent to evaluate the tragic death of the Hawkins family in their imposing mansion. Everyone has been slaughtered! The mansion is located on the dangerous Darkwater Island, just off the coast of Massachusetts. Between unhelpful locals and questionable police reports, it becomes clear that there’s more to the case than what’s being let on. The trail leads Pierce to a terrifying world of conspiracies, cultists, and supernatural threats.
