Distrib Films US has released the official trailer for T2: Judgment Day 3D! The film will arrive in theaters on August 25.
Overview
Produced by Carolco Pictures and originally released by TriStar Pictures, the film picks up in 1995 — 11 years after the original Terminator — with Schwarzenegger’s T-800 reprogrammed to go back in time and protect a young John Connor (Edward Furlong) and his mom Sarah (Linda Hamilton) from an advanced prototype Terminator known as the T-1000 (Robert Patrick).
Upon its release, T2 was the most expensive movie ever made at $102 million and won four technical Oscars.
The film will arrive in theaters on August 25.
Cameron is slated to revive the franchise in some capacity in 2019 with Deadpool director Tim Miller and David Ellison of Skydance. Cameron will act as a “godfather” to the new film. At this time is unknown how the new film will work in the time line of the franchise.
