The Hungry Horde will bring an appetite for brains and minigames to PlayStation Vita later this year. Developer Nosebleed Interactive revealed the project, produced in collaboration with Sony XDEV, on the PlayStation Blog Monday.
Players start off by controlling a few zombies. Once they chase down and bite a human, their victim joins the horde, and the group must accumulate enough undead to tear through military defenses and barricades before the government can nuke the area.
The Hungry Horde also includes several minigames, one of which casts players as a gun-wielding lone survivor and another which makes a Snake-like zombie conga line. A zombie creator will let players customize their block-headed army.
The title started off as a PlayStation Mobile project in 2011, though its growing scope led Sony and Nosebleed to make it a full-fledged Vita release.
