Sonos just unveiled a new voice-controlled smart speaker that will work with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
The $199 Sonos One is slated to launch globally on Oct. 24 with support for Alexa. Support for Google Assistant will arrive next year, making Sonos One “the first and only smart speaker to support multiple major voice services,” Sonos stated in a press release.
Plus Sonos announced it will begin supporting Apple’s AirPlay2 next year. This will let you play sound from an iOS device on your Sonos speakers.
The company also announced a free software update, which will let current Sonos owners in the US, UK, and Germany control their systems with Alexa.
Sonos One is available for pre-order now for $199 in white and black matte finishes.
