Tia Mowry-Hardrict is starring in NickMom’s Instant Mom, the primetime TV block’s first original scripted comedy series. The half-hour series is set to premiere on Sunday, September 29 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Nick at Nite.
Instant Mom follows young party girl Stephanie (played by Mowry-Hardrict) who trades in cosmos for carpools when she marries an older man, Charlie (Michael Boatman), with three kids. Stephanie slowly grows into her role as a full-time stepmom while struggling to maintain some sense of her fun-loving, slightly irresponsible life.
Sheryl Lee Ralph stars as Stephanie’s mother Maggie, with Sydney Park, Tylen Williams and Damarr Calhoun rounding out the cast, playing the 3 kids. The series is created by Warren Bell and Jessica Butler and executive-produced by Howard Gould and Aaron Kaplan).
Since leaving The Game last year, Mowry-Hardrict has been keeping busy. Currently she stars in (with her sister Tamera Mowry-Housley) and executive produces the STYLE network series Tia & Tamera, which set a record as the most watched series launch in the network’s history last season.
