TitanfallRespawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella jumped on Twitter and provided the minimum system requirements for the upcoming game, Titanfall. The news arrives after Zampella said via Twitter that fans will not be required to pre-purchase the game in order to take part in the Titanfall beta.

“#supersecret announcement time. I’m sure no one has been able to guess from the leaks. PC and XboxOne Beta! Details in the coming days,” Zampalla tweeted on January 27. He added that the beta is actually waiting to go through EA certification before it’s officially announced. Zampalla also said that the beta codes will not be region locked.

As for the minimum specs, potential customers will need a 64-bit operating system, including Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Gamers will also need an AMD Athlon X2 clocked at 2.8 GHz or an Intel Core 2 Duo clocked at 2.4 GHz. Additional requirements consist of 4 GB RAM, 512 MB of VRAM, Radeon HD 4770 or GeForce 8800GT.

Note the Windows only requirement. One Twitter user asked if there will be no Mac support, and Zampella responded by saying “talking about it, would like to see it happen. Would have to be after launch.”

Another Twitter user asked if beta participants will be able to upload videos to YouTube. “Should be, it won’t be restricted like the alpha,” Zampella tweeted.

Respawn manager Abbie Heppe is also answering questions on Twitter. When asked about how many maps there will be, types of modes, and the number of Titans, she confirmed that the beta will only have three Titans to use.

Titanfall is an upcoming first-person shooter slated to arrive this March 11 for Windows PC, the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The game is in development by Respawn Entertainment and will be published by Electronic Arts.
