Nintendo just assured gamers that they will have 2 million Switch consoles available worldwide during the first month.
Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed the number to Wired magazine, saying that the 2 million is quite a bit of stock.
“Two million for essentially the first month is a huge number, especially when you look and see that this is not peak seasonality. This is essentially the first three weeks of March.”
He added that the company is doing everything they can to make sure that there is enough supply to meet demand, and that we don’t get another NES mini situation.
“Our focus is making sure that the consumer who wants to buy a Nintendo Switch can buy a Nintendo Switch” said Reggie.
The Switch launches on March 3rd for $299.
