Nintendo announced today that it’s going to broadcast another one of its Direct video streams on September 13 at 3 p.m. Pacific. It will focus on Switch and 3DS games coming in the next few months — although Nintendo only promised specific new details for Super Mario Odyssey. That anticipated Switch platformer debuts October 27.
Whatever Nintendo is planning for its event, it’ll be a lengthy one. The Direct will last about 45 minutes. By comparison, Nintendo’s E3 Spotlight video was only 25 minutes long (although Nintendo did supplement that presentation with additional streaming and announcements during the E3 event).
Aside from Mario Odyssey, the Switch has Pokkén Tournament DX, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the horizon. The 3DS is getting Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions. SO details on any of those may be in store.
