Verizon subscribers with Android devices will soon get the option of paying for their Google Play purchases on their monthly bills rather than with a credit or gift card. The Twitter announcement revealed the change will be phased in over the course of the next few weeks. With the move, Verizon joins AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile in offering the option.
Presumably, all content available on Google Play, including movies, apps, e-books, and music could be billed to the Verizon account.
It took Verizon long enough to make the jump, considering Sprint began offering the option back in April of last year, AT&T in December of 2010, and T-Mobile about a full year before AT&T.
